Based on the “Rules Changes for 2016” published on December 13, 2015 and available at www.usga.org, the Arccos 360 app conforms to the Rules of Golf. The Arccos 360 app can now be used in Stipulated Rounds when a local rule permitting the use of distance-measuring devices is in effect, so long as a golfer does not review data from a hole previously played during that round.

The Arccos 360 Restricted App is designed for use in Stipulated Rounds and is permitted under the Rules of Golf when a local rule permitting the use of distance-measuring devices is in effect. The Arccos 360 Restricted App contains all GPS rangefinder functions as well as shot tracking and data gathering functions as the fully featured Arccos 360 App, but does not display any historical data or information while a round is in progress.

The Arccos 360 app is part of the Arccos Live Shot Tracking, GPS 2.0 and Tour Analytics system. It functions with Arccos 360 sensors, as well as first-generation Arccos Golf sensors.

To use the Arccos system, golfers simply attach one sensor to the end of each club grip, then pair each sensor to the free Arccos 360 app.

At the start of a round, users launch the Arccos 360 app then place their iPhone in a front pocket. The system then seamlessly records every shot a golfer makes, analyzes the data in real time and reveals strengths and weaknesses to enhance on-course decision-making.

Arccos stats are available instantly on your iPhone or Apple Watch as you play, or after your round on any tablet or computer – anytime, anywhere.

Unlike competing products, Arccos requires no tagging, tapping or other annoying disruptions to a player’s routine.

Arccos delivers data on distances hit, club averages, driving accuracy, greens in regulation, sand saves, putts and more. By accessing the Tour Analytics web dashboard, Arccos users and their instructors can gain valuable insights via deep dives into stats, playing patterns and rich data comparison for every club, shot, hole and round.

Developed in conjunction with golf’s most renowned statistician, Peter Sanders, Tour Analytics draws from his work with PGA Tour star Zach Johnson and many others. It breaks down a players’ handicap into five key components – driving, approach, chipping, sand game and putting – helping golfers:

• Understand exactly how each part of their game contributes to scoring
• Compare data in each of the five components with golfers of similar handicaps
• Evaluate patterns across their entire golf history, supporting refinement of on-course tactics

The Arccos 360 system includes a complimentary Apple Watch app, featuring quick access to GPS distances, adding and removing putts, and helpful club suggestions – all without needing to take your iPhone out of your pocket.

The Arccos 360 app uses the iPhones GPS at the highest level of accuracy while playing golf. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
